John Sisk and Son won the contract to build the new residential blocks in Maiden Lane, Camden.

This residential and social housing scheme was designed to comply with NHBC requirements. Some areas of the site were found to be contaminated by Methane, Carbon Dioxide and Hydrocarbon vapours. This meant that a waterproofing system was required to provide resistance to groundwater, gas and hydrocarbons simultaneously for a characteristic 2 situation.

FIS were able to provide John Sisk and Son with a viable solution using the Hydroprufe 6000. This provided adequate protection from Hydrocarbons, Gas and groundwater. Waterproof concrete was also used to waterproof the lift pits.

FIS produced details to seal the membrane to the concrete piles, lift pits and drainage penetrations whilst maintaining a complete barrier. FIS were available to inspect regularly as required over the duration of the project.
