Queenshurst was a Berkeley Homes development situated in the heart of the lively market town of Kingston-upon-Thames. It is a collection of stylish apartments ideally located just a five minute walk from the town’s train station and town centre. It was built on the site of the former Kingston Gasworks which meant that contamination of the ground was extreme

FIS were able to support Berkeley Homes and Henry Construction Projects with the design of a sub-structure protection system, for the basement that was able to provide the required protection against ground water, ground gases and hydrocarbons. The basement included Grade 2 and 3 zones that were designed and installed in accordance with BS 8102:2009, BS 8485:2015 and NHBC Standards Chapter 5.4

A detailed design was produced using Maxiprufe 2000 Waterproof Membrane, Hydroprufe 6000 Hydrocarbon Membrane and Hydrocrete Watertight Concrete.
