This private residence in Virginia Grange was acquired for redevelopment into an impressive luxury dwelling. The original property was demolished and excavation of the basement followed suit. The main contractor, working with the concrete frame and groundworks specialist contacted FIS to produce a design for the waterproof membrane which was to be applied to the external side of the water tight concrete basement walls.
FIS were also able to help with the design of the waterproofing around the slab edge so that the property is protected by one compatible waterproofing system from below the basement slab up to the DPC. There was also additional detail around each of the light-wells which FIS were able to advise on.
The project was designed with speed of construction in mind and FIS were able to help keep the project on schedule with quick deliveries and regular inspections of the membrane during installation as required.
