The Project Crown development at 39-40 Lowndes Square in the exclusive residential and retail area of Knightsbridge, London SW1, concerned the demolition, construction and internal fit out of high quality residential accommodation, providing eight luxury apartments over seven floors, including a subterranean basement.
FIS worked with McLaren Construction, Alan Baxter Engineers and 1508 London Architects to develop a structural waterproofing design which met the demands of the client. There were some challenging interfaces with the adjacent buildings, however through having access to an extensive product range FIS were able to rise to the challenge.
FIS used a combination of Hydrocrete Watertight Concrete, Hydroseal FX Waterproof Coating and Hydroflow HP Cavity Drain to provide the required protection. The design was backed up by a comprehensive £10M Professional Indemnity insurance policy.
